Steamy reads with a dollop of magic, mystery and hot... hot men

This was a Goodreads recommendation - I like a rollicking, well written adventure as much as the next person but this wasn't it. Too many information dumps. I wanted to like the two main characters but 25% into the book still didn't know them and thought their relationship lacked any dynamic. I have better things to do.
